This former National Guardsman-turned franchise business owner, shares how he became a Spring-Green franchise owner, for the Oklahoma City/Enid, Oklahoma area of the country...
Jeff Anderson was kind enough to answer a few questions submitted by Spring-Green's Marketing Manager, Brad Rusin. Here's hoping that this little Q & A can benefit folks that are thinking about becoming franchise owners themselves.
What did you do before you became a Spring-Green franchise owner?
"I was a retail store manager in Enid, Oklahoma from 1991 to 1993. Also in 1991 I joined the Army National Guard in the Towed Howitzer Unit and was trained as a Fire Direction Control Specialist. I was in the National Guard until 1999. In 1993, I took an entry level job in the mental health field and had several different counseling and mental health jobs while going to graduate school for counseling and psychology. I remained in the counseling field, with a focus on kids, until I became a Spring-Green franchise owner in 2007."
What other types of franchises, or even non-franchises, did you look at?
"I considered a local donut shop (non-franchised) and a mobile dent repair service for automobiles."
What “did it” for you, with regards to Spring-Green?
"After my due diligence, I gained a lot of trust for the Spring-Green corporate staff. I also saw myself as a good fit with the day to day tasks."
When you drive around your territory, and see all the beautiful lawns you are helping to maintain, how does it make you feel?
"I often beam with pride. There is definitely a level of satisfaction to see the improvement in lawns over time. It’s nice to be able to take pride in that and have a hand in it."
If there was one thing you could tell a prospective franchise owner of Spring-Green, what would it be?
"With a lot of honest, hard work, the Spring-Green system can allow you to reach your financial goals and dreams with the business. The Spring-Green marketing is proven , and it works well!"
